Bamboo Sanctuary

Unwind in the peaceful Baguio Bamboo Sanctuary located in St. Francis Xavier Seminary, Liteng, Pacdal, Baguio City.

There is no entrance fee or environmental fee. When visiting you are given the option to donate any amount you wholeheartedly want to give.

How to get there?

As this tourist spot is newly opened to the public it will be difficult to reach there.

You can either ride Jeepney from Burnham Park Liteng – Pacdal station to Liteng turning point or ride a taxi. If you have your own transportation then I advice to use Google Map.

If you decided to ride via Jeepney. The Liteng – Pacdal Jeepney is located in front of Malcolm Square near Jollibee. When you are there just ask around for the Jeepney Station. Pay short-trip 13.00 Php.

Things to appreciate

Bamboo Sanctuary is in a monastery so we need to respect that the place we are visiting is also a kind of residence.

When I first visited I did not expect much, but when we reached there the place is nice. There is much room to explore and for idlers like me who worked in an office it is a great way to exercise the muscles and get some fresh air.

I thought roaming around and taking pictures for memories are the only thing we can enjoy there but when we rested and took a rest I realized that when you take your time and observe the surroundings it become peaceful. I look up and listen to the rustling the bamboo leaves and it’s liberating. My mind cleared It’s a really good place for meditation. I was able to experience that moment, maybe because there were few people then.
