Malicogcong rice terraces got its name from the local word “naligcong” that come from how the rice paddies where formed.
Mt. Fato has another name from the locals but the visitors cannot pronounce it so they just named it as Mt. Fato meaning “Bato” or “stone”.
HOW TO GO THERE
BOOKING AS A JIONER
- There are a lot of travel tours organizing these events. So before booking you need to confirm the authenticity of the group or site. Do your own research and make your own decision.
- There are groups who require down payment, some do not require it but you need to be there when the time comes. The negotiation goes both ways.
- I booked with Northwinds Outdoors. They reply very quickly on all the inquiries. Overall my experience with them are positive.
WHAT TO BRING.
1. Wear your hiking gear. Appropriate for mountainous hike.
2. Bring your own food, snacks. There are stores there but the locations are far.
3. Bring your own umbrella incase it will rain.
