A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY

The park covers 5 hectares with different sections and attractions, a great choice whether you are alone in silence and prayer or spending quality time with family and friends.

Mirador is named by: Manuel Scheidnagel, Governor Politico-Militar of Benguet in 1976 because of it’s location.

The land is later bought to serve as a sanatorium for sick Jesuits.

After that the land experienced some up and downs during the years until Jesuit superiors led by Fr. Leo Cullum decided to rebuild the villa house.

In 1952-1967 the place is used as Chinese theologate because the new Communist Government closed down all religious institution.

At present, except for the time of the Chinese theologate, no Jesuit community has resided in Baguio. The Jesuit in charge of the house would only make occasional visits.
