Mt. Yangbew is th ehighest mountain in the municipality of La Trinidad, the jumpoff point is at Sitio, Binat, Barangay Tawang.
The Mountain is 10km away from Baguio city. It was formerly called “Mt. Jumbo” and “Little Pulag” because of it resemble some sceneries found atop Mt. Pulag.
The trail starts with a paved concrete and then continues on a dusty terrain until you reached the top.
Halway at the foot of the trail after you passed the paved road you will be welcomed by a small park where you can take a breath and rest a while. There is a small stall and huts to refresh.
The path continues until you reach the registration area. There is also an archery activity open only during weekeneds.
Continue on up on top and you can enjoy the magnificent view of La Trinidad Valley and some parts of Baguio city.
HOW TO GO THERE!
From Baguio City
1. Ride the Jeepney going to Upper Tomay. Pay 23.00Php.
2. Go down at the turning point.
3. Wait for the jeepney going to lubas near the turning point. Pay 13.00Php
4. Take a ride and tell the driver to drop you off at Mt. Yangbew entrance.
5. At the entrance their is a welcome sign.
6. Take the road pave road going up just follow the trail up until the top.
HOW MUCH?
1. Aside from your public jeepney fair the entrance fee is 50 pesos
2. There is a store there you don’t have to worry about getting hungry or thirsty. Of course, if you want to save buy on the groceries before going there.
